Woman charged after task force members locate 40 grams of meth during search in Fairmont
FAIRMONT, W.Va. — A woman has been charged after task force members located 40 grams of methamphetamine during a search in Fairmont. On June 1, members of the Three Rivers Drug Task Force working with the Fairmont Police Department and Marion County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant on an outbuilding at a residence on Taylor Street in Fairmont, according to a criminal complaint.
Police Identify Woman Killed in Tuesday Vehicle Crash
According to WDTV, authorities have identified the victim of a fatal crash in Fairmont. The crash happened Tuesday morning near the intersection of Locust Ave. and Oakwood Rd. Fairmont Police told 5 News Sandra Wyont, 64, of Fairmont, died from injuries sustained in the crash. The vehicle Wyont was a passenger in failed to stop at a stop sign and hit another vehicle, police said.
