    2 hospitalized following wreck near Clarksburg parking garage

    CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WBOY) — Two people were taken to the hospital Thursday following a vehicle accident near the Clarksburg Parking Building.

    According to the Harrison County 911 Media Log, at about 10:16 p.m., crews were alerted to a vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection of Hewes Avenue and N 3rd Street.

    A 12 News reporter on the scene noted that two vehicles were involved, with airbags deploying in one of them. A fire official on scene told the reporter that the vehicles had struck one another in a “t-bone-like” fashion and that two people were taken to United Hospital Center as a precaution.

    The 3rd Street onramp to U.S. 50 through the Clarksburg Parking Building was temporarily shut down as crews worked to clear the scene. It was still closed as of 10:55 p.m.

    Crews from the Anmoore Fire Department, Clarksburg Fire Department, Nutter Fort Fire Department, Clarksburg Police Department and Harrison County EMS were alerted to this call.
