    Update: Emily Drive reopens following vehicle accident that hospitalized 1

    CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WBOY) — An official with the Harrison County 911 Center has confirmed that Emily Drive has fully reopened after a vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon shut down part of the roadway and sent one person to the hospital.

    CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WBOY) — One person had to be taken to the hospital Tuesday afternoon following a vehicle accident that closed part of Emily Drive in Clarksburg.

    According to the Harrison County 911 Media Log, at around 3:49 p.m., emergency crews were alerted to a vehicle accident with injuries on Emily Drive. A 12 News employee near the scene noted that the accident occurred near the Chick-fil-A location. They also saw one person lying on the ground and noted that there was a motorcycle near the scene.

    An official with the Harrison County 911 Center confirmed that one person was taken to United Hospital Center in Bridgeport for their injuries. They also said that two vehicles were involved and that the right northbound lane of Emily Drive was closed as of 4:17 p.m.

    Crews from the Anmoore EMS, the Clarksburg Fire Department and the Clarksburg Police Department responded to this call.
