For the second weekend in a row, rain and storms will move through the Cincinnati region on Friday and Saturday, and dry weather will return on Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service office in Wilmington, showers and storms will persist through the daytime on Friday and linger at night. Some isolated tropical storms will also be possible from time to time.

Slow-moving showers and thunderstorms, especially Friday afternoon evening, may produce localized heavy downpours and isolated instances of flooding, per a hazardous weather outlook. However, the potential for locally heavy rain and flooding is low, with no specific target area mentioned.

Friday's rainfall forecast generally ranges from about one-quarter to three-quarters of an inch. Temperatures will reach the lower to mid-70s.

Additional shower activity will be possible on Saturday. Fog may be an issue Saturday morning, especially for areas with significant rainfall Friday.

Due to less cloud coverage, Saturday's highs will be slightly warmer, peaking in the mid- to upper 70s.

Drier conditions are expected to evolve Sunday into early next week. Above-normal temperatures are expected through the first half of the workweek, with highs well into the 80s each day.

The next chance for widespread showers and storms will arrive midweek.
