HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT)- Eight shipments of equine performance enhancing drugs have been seized across the river from Kentucky since January according to a release by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Office at the port of Cincinnati, Ohio.

How many people came to Evansville for the eclipse?

The agency says that packages arrived from Mexico and were destined for multiple individuals in the United States, some with connections to racing or other horse performance venues.

The agency says that shipments included injectables labeled as Cobra Venom, TB-1000, Anabolic Steroids, Ketamine and more. The abuse of performance enhancers within the equine industry has been the subject of previous federal investigations and indictments leading to sentences from the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
