Blue Demons compete at Centerville
The Blue Demons Track and Field team traveled to Centerville last week to compete. During the 100-meter dash, Parker Hemann ran 12.18 and secured the 10th position. Beau Buckingham ran a 23.86 200-meter dash and placed sixth. The Blue Demons ran the 4x100 meter relay in 53.69, placing seventh. Guy Sample ran the 400-meter dash in 1:04.52, placing 12th. However, the Blue Demons performed well in the 4x200 meter relay and won it with a time of 1:34.87. In the 800-meter dash, Ethan Stalzer placed first with a time of 2:01.13, and Eric Dersheids placed ninth with a time of 2:23.27. The Blue Demons also participated in the 4x800 meter relay and placed fifth with a time of 9:52.95.

(Moravia, IA) – At The Preserve on Rathbun Lake in Moravia, Highland Riverside was able to earn a victory as a team after shooting 350 overall in first. New London was right behind in second overall as a team with a 363 while Louisa-Muscatine with a 389. Coming in fourth was Martensdale St. Mary’s with a 412 and Nodaway Valley earned a fifth-place spot with a 436. In seventh it was BGM with 478 and Wapello in sixth at 504.
