6 Eau Claire area students injured in bus accident
HUDSON, Wis. — Eight were injured following an accident with an Eau Claire Area School District bus Thursday morning, according to a statement from the district. The accident took place around 10:40 a.m. on I-94 near Hudson, Wis. in a construction zone. Students from DeLong Middle School were on their way to a field trip to the Orpheum Theater when the incident occurred. There were two buses, but only one was involved.

Man arrested after multiple county police chase
LAKE HALLIE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – A man is in custody after a police chase that started in Lake Hallie and ended in Trempealeau County. Around 10:15 last night (4/23/24), Lake Hallie Police say an officer tried to stop a pickup with an expired license plate when the driver took off southbound on Highway 53. The chase ended in Trempealeau County when tire deflation devices were deployed.

Man sentenced in attempted homicide case
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) - A Bloomer man was sentenced today for stabbing his neighbor in December 2021 in the Town of Wilson. Court documents show that on April 25, 61-year-old Adam Langiewicz was sentenced to nine years in prison, followed by five years of extended supervision, after being found guilty in February of the attempted homicide of his neighbor.
