Mobile has released a redacted copy of the "Use of Force Review and Report" examining practices within the city's police department. A copy can be found here. Former U.S. Attorney Kenyen Brown conducted the investigation at the request of Mayor Sandy Stimpson after concerns were raised from the community, in which the preliminary findings resulted in Police Chief Paul Prine being placed on administrative leave. MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) — According to Mobile Police, on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at approximately 9:33 p.m., officers responded to the 1600 block of Prairie Avenue in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult male victim deceased in the driver’s seat of a vehicle. Upon further investigation, a male juvenile victim with a gunshot wound was also discovered in a second vehicle. The juvenile was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
