WNBA rookie Angel Reese fulfilled her dream of meeting hip hop superstar Megan Thee Stallion before joining her on stage during a show in Chicago.

The former college basketball sensation is settling into life in Illinois after being drafted by the Sky following her departure from LSU for a pro career at the end of the most recent NCAA campaign. The 22-year-old experienced a day she is likely to never forget at United Center, as she first spent some time backstage with Stallion , even featuring on a TikTok video with the chart-topper as they danced to the latter's hit, "Girls in the Hood".

Embracing her A-Lister status in the Windy City, Reese then even appeared with Stallion during the concert, with the pair twerking together in front of a capacity crowd. The 2023 NCAA champion was not finished there either, as she also spent some time on stage with rapper GloRilla during the evening.

Reacting after footage was posted of the evening on social media, Reese then spoke glowingly about new pal Stallion as she described the rapper as her "twin" on Twitter/X. Music and sports fans alike were delighted to have witnessed a unique crossover too, with one fan saying: "Angel Reese is shining everywhere."

Another WNBA enthusiast also saw the footage as evidence of the continuing rise of the women's game, asserting: "I love how WNBA players are living the superstar lifestyles the men always got to," while one fan also enjoyed seeing Reese enjoying herself, adding: "Angel living her best life ain’t she!"

Previous to this, Reese also attended the Met Gala in a further demonstration of her star power as she became the first WNBA rookie to do so. Reflecting on that experience, she said to to WWD : "I’m just excited to see everyone’s outfits. Everyone looks amazing in here. Being here on my 22nd birthday is amazing."

Reese gave an honest account on her rise to national prominence, speaking recently to ESPN , where she acknowledged the aspects of fame which have proven advantageous for her. She admitted: "A lot of people don’t get these opportunities. I have a crazy life.

"But I enjoy it and I just maximize it as much as I can. My grandma used to come and brush my hair up every day and I hated it. And paint my nails and throw a little mascara on me. So I’ve always embodied just being a girly-girl but on the court just being a dog."

After being selected by Chicago as the seventh overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft , Reese has settled into life nicely with the Sky as she embarks on the next chapter in her career. After two appearances so far, she has averaged 11.5 points and 8.5 rebounds across those couple of games as her new employers recorded a win and a loss.
