Police: Illinois man shoots victim several times

CHICAGO (WTVO) — Chicago Police arrested Jeremy Wormack, 35, for allegedly shooting a man multiple times.

Wormack got into an argument that turned physical with a 27-year-old man in the 9000 block of South Yale Avenue on March 21st, police told FOX32 . According to Authorities, the suspect hit the victim in the head and proceeded to shoot him several times.

The man was transported to the hospital in serious condition from being wounded in the leg and thigh. He also sustained a large cut on his head.

After an investigation by the Chicago Police Department Fugitive Apprehension Unit, Wormack was arrested in Washington Heights.

He is being charged with attempted first-degree murder.

The suspect’s next appearance in court with be this coming Tuesday.
