    Powerful thunderstorms swept through the Gulf Coast area knocking out power to many locations

    Damaging thunderstorm gusts across the Lone Star state.

    NOTE: A thunderstorm is considered severe when wind speeds reach 58 mph or greater or hail size 1″ in diameter or greater.
