Angel Reese's WNBA debut has been a lot of attention.

Fans and media alike have been excited to see whether she'll be able to produce for the Chicago Sky like she did at LSU.

After the excellent preseason that Reese produced, expectations were sky-high for her regular season debut against the Dallas Wings on Wednesday.

Yet, after one half of Wednesday's game, Reese hasn't kept her preseason form.

Through two quarters, Reese only has one point, one rebound, one assist, and two fouls. She has only made 1 out of 6 free throws, and is 0 for 3 from the field.

Some fans are roasting Reese for her first half performance.

"Angel Reese definitely gotta stay late and get some free throws up after his game." one fan wrote on X.

    Although others are defending Reese.

"seriously don’t get why all yall are dogging on caitlin clark and angel reese rn like duh they weren’t gonna be a star right away they were playing college ball a month ago give them a grace period my god," wrote another fan.

Reese deserves some slack. It's her first game, and nerves are sure to be at a maximum. Hopefully those nerves will cease in the second half.
