According to a recent tweet from B Talent, Suncatcher Brewing has filed for a new location at 2849 W Chicago Avenue.

A representative of Suncatcher Brewing is unable to provide more information at this time upon What Now Chicago’s request.

While an official opening date has yet to be confirmed, according to the company website , “Suncatcher Brewing, based in Chicago, creates American microbrewed pub beers shaped upon a foundation of Midwestern grown malt and hops.”

“Through the prism of beer, Suncatcher Brewing strives to concentrate the positive energies continually absorbed via our collective experiences and disperse them back throughout our community. While we built our taproom brewery in Chicago, we traveled east into the Green Mountains of Vermont to retreat and create.”

“The Suncatcher Sessions at Hill Farmstead was our first attempt at forging Midwestern ingredients into sturdy and satisfying ales. They comprise a Pale Ale, Red Ale, and Brown Ale, all brewed under the April full moon.”

Listed on the website to be behind Suncatcher are four people. Those four people are Matt Gallagher, Rog McGuin, Laura Gallagher, and Sally McGuin.

“As a founding and ongoing partner in Half Acre Beer Company, Matt has helped guide that business for over 15 years. In recent years, Matt has envisioned a neighborhood pub brewery, with roots in British-influenced beers. By extension, the beers brewed at Suncatcher are built out of that desire to provide a place to convene over balanced, sessionable ales and lagers.”

“While Matt will focus on brewing, Rog will focus on the pouring. As our front-of-house guru, Rog is a beverage industry veteran in his own right. He spent 10 years at Half Acre in both sales and front-of-house roles, and most recently, heading sales at Dark Matter Coffee. He’s everyone’s instant best friend with a personality to fill a pint glass, thankfully also beer.”

“Laura Gallagher and Sally McGuin help keep the ship running behind the scenes. When they’re not at their real jobs, or enjoying a pint, they are working to make Suncatcher Brewing a reality for all of us.”
