Town of Erin channels historic roots with WoodFest 2024
TOWN OF ERIN, N.Y. (WENY) -- The Town of Erin is channeling its historic roots, celebrating WoodFest for the 12th year. "Erin had a booming lumber company way back in the 1800s, we had a major business here and in Breesport. It died out around 1912 or so, it dwindled out, so [WoodFest] is kind of like bringing us back to the lumber industry," said Jennifer Bates, the curator of the Erin Historical Society.
