For the first time in more than two months, the UT Tyler Patriots came out on the short end of a softball score. Grand Valley State (Michigan) edged the Patriots, 2-1 in nine innings, on Friday in the NCAA Division II College Softball World Series on Frost Stadium at Warner Park in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

The Chattanooga Red Wolves lost 3-0 to the Charlotte Independence in their third away series of the 2023 season. Despite an even match, Charlotte took an early lead with two goals in the first half and held Chattanooga off throughout the match.

Chattanooga FC won their third game in eight days, beating Maryland Bobcats FC 1-0 in front of 3,268 fans at Fort Finley. Markus Naglestad scored the only goal of the game with a stunning free kick in the 61st minute.
