Public feedback encouraged on new Isle Royale Seaplanes location
TORCH LAKE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WLUC) - The ongoing situation of the Isle Royale Seaplanes facility in Hubbell has entered a new phase. At a meeting Wednesday, the Torch Lake Township board announced an online public notice is available from the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy. The public can submit their concerns to EGLE about the facility there.
Keweenaw Co-op aims for September opening of new location
HANCOCK, Mich. (WLUC) - After nearly three years of funding and planning, the Keweenaw Co-op in Hancock is closing in on opening its new location. According to Keweenaw Co-op General Manager Curt Webb, an early September opening date is the goal. The business had been looking to open during the spring of this year. However, delays in several parts of construction have pushed it back.
Baraga Drive-In opens up for spring, summer seasons
BARAGA, Mich. (WLUC) - A drive-in restaurant in Baraga County is now open for its 66th season and has plenty of events lined up. The Baraga Drive-In will host weekly car shows on Tuesdays where people can showcase their vintage vehicles. The drive-in restaurant will host its biggest car show in July and bring in musical talent for the event.
