CHARLESTOWN, R.I. (WPRI) — The state of Rhode Island has two new residents.

Danish artist Thomas Dambo brought his trolls, which are made of recycled wood, to Ninigret Park in Charlestown.

Dambo and volunteers have been constructing them for a month, and a ribbon-cutting was held Friday morning.

The sculptures will eventually be part of a so-called “Rhode Island troll trail,” which will feature five trolls in total . The remaining three trolls will be located further north than the ones in Charlestown.
