    1 injured after vehicle goes over I77 guardrail in Charleston

    CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) – One person has been taken to the hospital after a car went over the guardrail on the interstate.

    According to Kanawha County 911 dispatchers, the crash happened around 5:42 p.m. Monday when a vehicle was traveling on I-77 North near the 104-mile marker.

    Dispatchers said the vehicle went over the guardrail onto Pennsylvania Avenue. A Facebook post from the Pinch Volunteer Fire Department said that the vehicle went off the interstate after a collision, crashing into two parked cars and rolling onto its roof.

    One person was taken to the hospital, but the extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.

    The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office, Pinch Volunteer Fire Department, Charleston Fire Department and Kanawha County Emergency Ambulance Authority responded.
