Tractor trailer rollover on I-77 impacts traffic flow

SISSONVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Wednesday saw the latest in a series of tractor trailer rollovers to occur on I-77 in recent weeks.

According to the Sissonville Fire Department, at 3:51pm on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, units with the Sissonville Fire Department responded to reports of an accident involving a tractor trailer that had rolled onto its side.

The incident is said to have occurred along I-77 South just outside of the Charleston City Limits between the I-77/I-79 Split and the Westmoreland Road Exit.

Along with the Sissonville Fire Department, units with the Charleston Fire Department responded to the scene of the accident.

It is unclear at the time of writing what specific factors contributed to the accident, and the status of the driver operating the tractor trailer has yet to be revealed at this time.
