Rolling roadblocks set for Sunday on Interstate 80, Columbia County
Columbia County, Pa. — Rolling roadblocks will take place Sunday, June 2 on Interstate 80 westbound and eastbound in South Centre Township, Columbia County between mile markers 239 and 240. A contractor working for PPL will be implementing six 15-minute rolling roadblocks between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. in order to pull wires across all lanes of the interstate. The work area begins three miles east of Exit 236 (Route 487/Lightstreet). Drivers should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, and drive with caution. Drivers can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following local alerts on X.
