First same-sex marriage license granted in Arkansas 10 years ago
CARROLL COUNTY, Arkansas — It's been 10 years since Arkansas's first same-sex marriage license was granted to two Fort Smith women who say they will never forget that day. The Carroll County Clerk was the first in the state to grant the licenses after a Pulaski County judge lifted a ban a few days before.

FORT SMITH, Ark. — According to a Fort Smith doctor, an SUV crashed into his building on Thursday, May 16, but thankfully no injuries were reported. Dr. James Kelly's office is located in the 8000 block of McClure Drive near Fort Chaffee Crossing, and according to submitted photos and statements, a Nissan SUV crashed clear through a brick wall and into his business.
