Syracuse mom accused of attacking teacher now charged with threatening another teacher
Syracuse, N.Y. – A Syracuse mother accused of posing as a student to enter a school and assaulting a teacher was arraigned on new charges Wednesday. Lynzina Sutton, 31, was charged with entering Lincoln Middle School on Feb. 16 assaulting her daughter’s teacher and threatening another teacher while inside the school, according to an indictment.

Syracuse, N.Y. — A 46-year-old man died in April after he was hit by a car near Erie Boulevard East at night, police said Tuesday. Jermaine Sterling was hit by the car around 12:04 a.m. April 15 and later died in the hospital the same day, Kieran Coffey, a spokesperson for the Syracuse police, confirmed Tuesday.

Utica man sentenced on federal fentanyl charges
SYRACUSE, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) — A Utica man learned his fate in federal court on Wednesday, May 1 after pleading guilty to fentanyl possession charges. 38-year-old Eric Ares of Utica was sentenced to ten years in federal prison for consipiring to possess and distribute fentanyl on Wednesday, according to United States Attorney Carla Freedman. Ares pled guilty in an earlier appearance in the Syracuse Federal Court.
