Roanoke Police investigating Forest Hill Ave death as a homicide
ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR)—The Roanoke Police Department has released an update on the death investigation, stating they are now investigating the incident as a homicide. On Saturday, Feb. 24, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office requested officers from RPD to perform a well-being check at a residence on Forest Hil Ave regarding an active investigation in its jurisdiction. Officers responded to the residence and found the body of 54-year-old Nicole C. Dingle.
Roanoke woman hit, killed by tractor-trailer on Franklin Road
ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — The Roanoke County Police Department says alcohol may be a factor after a woman was hit by a tractor-trailer on Franklin Road on Tuesday night. Police said just after 10 p.m. on Feb. 27, a 2016 Kenworth tractor-trailer was traveling in the southbound lane, near the 5000 block of Franklin Road when it hit 34-year-old Amanda Graninger.

Charges pending against student after gun found in car at school
ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) - Charges are pending against a William Byrd High School student after a gun was found in a car, according to Roanoke County Police. Great Falls Bank Robber Arrested In Montgomery County, Police Say
Officers were called shortly before 11 a.m. on Friday morning to Wells Fargo on Walker Road in Great Falls, where a man took out a gun, demanded cash, and left in a vehicle.
