Contest underway to name iconic library lions
WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) - They’re 120 years old. They’re icons. And they have no names. We’re talking about the lion statues outside the entrance of Watertown’s Flower Memorial Library. The library is now asking the public to give each of these marble marvels a name.
May 11: Knights of Columbus chicken BBQ at St. Anthony’s
The Knights of Columbus will host a chicken barbecue at St. Anthony’s Church at 870 Arsenal Street in Watertown. The barbecue will run from 11 a.m. until all are served. The price is $12 for dinners and includes a half-chicken, salt potatoes, beans, rolls and a dessert. There will also be a 50-50 raffle.
