Metro Transit's Stadium Circulator won't be an option for this year's College World Series
OMAHA, Neb. — Metro Transit will not offer its Stadium Circulator for The College World Series. Part of the reason is a shortage of bus drivers. "We, like many other transit agencies, have been struggling with a driver shortage. We very recently had to make some service changes that cut some of the frequencies on two of our routes," said Nicole Ebat, Metro Transit's Senior Manager of Communications and Community Relations.

MO VALLEY HIRES COTTERMAN AS NEW MEN’S VOLLEYBALL COACH
Missouri Valley College has looked west for their newest men’s volleyball coach. The Vikings announced Noah Cotterman on Wednesday morning as their new coach. Cotterman will arrive from Benedictine University Mesa of Arizona, where he was an assistant coach the past three seasons, including the 2021 and 2022 seasons where the Redhawks finished national runners-up. In a statement, athletic director Mike Machholz said that Cotterman’s experience with his previous position made him the right candidate to keep the program’s momentum going. Machholz also described Cotterman as very familiar with NAIA men’s volleyball and the Heart of America Athletic Conference.

Mills County posts arrests
(Glenwood) -- Mills County authorities made three notable arrests over the past two days. The Mills County Sheriff's Office says 63-year-old Jacob Benny Garcia of Council Bluffs was arrested early Sunday evening on a warrant for insurance fraud. The arrest took place at the Pottawattamie County Jail shortly after 7 p.m. Garcia is being held in the Mills County Jail on $3,000 bond.

OMAHA, Neb. — Hoping to help keep the music rolling, the Millard South Band Booster Club is asking for donations to repair the group's trailers. The booster club said one of the band's trailers was vandalized, and another is in need of restoration. The group said the trailer was vandalized after the last marching band season wrapped up around November.
