Wyoming Dairy Goat Association “Fuzzy Show” at Archer Event Center
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - May 24-26 at Archer Event Center will be a fuzzy weekend with Wyoming Dairy Goat Association’s “Fuzzy Show”. Starting on Friday, May 24 at 6:30 P.M. is the “One Day Milk Test” in which is a milking competition that is “for owners who would like to earn a *M status for their does”. City of Cheyenne continues $147.6 million budget discussions
CHEYENNE — The Cheyenne City Council continued discussions Wednesday evening around the city’s proposed $147.6 million budget for the 2025 fiscal year. Throughout the past two weeks, city departments came before members of the governing body to present their budgets and field any questions City Council members had. On Wednesday, council members asked questions of Cheyenne Mayor Patrick Collins related to the proposed budget before unanimously deciding to recommend that City Council approve the budget on second reading at next week’s council meeting.
Swan Ranch Horse Palace prepares to open next month
CHEYENNE — Wyoming Horse Racing LLC is nearing the grand opening of the state’s largest off-track horse race betting facility in Laramie County in less than one month. The 30,000-square-foot facility is the result of a $25 million investment from WHR and will offer 140 full- and part-time jobs, in addition to 150 temporary construction jobs, WHR officials said. They estimated the new entertainment facility will generate $2.6 million annually for Wyoming state, city and county budgets.
Pine Bluffs Lions Club to hose Ride for Sight
CHEYENNE – The Pine Bluffs Lions Club will host the High Plains Ride for Sight on Sunday, June 2, to raise funds for eye preservation services. The ride will start at 8 a.m. at Pine Bluffs City Park, with an optional continental breakfast from 7-8 a.m. Riders can also register during this time. Registration is $50 for adults and $10 for children. Riders can choose their distance from 5 miles up to 40 miles. The route will follow U.S. Highway 30 to Wyoming Highway 213, north to the Burns Elementary School parking lot. Triumph High School celebrates 2024 graduates
CHEYENNE — Triumph High School Principal Troy Lake said there are many words to describe the class of 2024, but one word stood out to him: diverse. “These kids have had a lot of diversity in the way that they’ve had to arrive at their graduation,” Lake said as he, district officials, parents and other family members honored 51 graduates in a ceremony at Storey Gym. “There’s a lot of ways that they’ve done that. So, congratulations.”

CRMC moving to paperless statements starting July 1
CHEYENNE, Wyo. — On Thursday, Cheyenne Regional Heathcare System announced it’s transitioning to paperless statements for medical bills beginning July 1. In a news release, the healthcare system stated its reason for moving away from paper statements. The digital statements provide more convenience and security to patients and allows CRMC staff to work more productively. The organization states that switching to a paperless operation aligns with its environmentally conscious vision.
