Franklin Square Park reopens in Southport following months-long closure
SOUTHPORT, NC (WWAY) — A historical park in Southport has reopened. Franklin Square Park was closed in January due to concerns about diseased or dead trees. According to the city, they were particularly concerned about four trees, but there were around two dozen more that needed to be evaluated.
