CARMEL-BY-THE-SEA, Calif. (KION-TV)- A new police station could soon be coming to Carmel.

Carmel-by-the-Sea City Council will be hosting a community input session regarding a new police station to be built. The meeting will be held at 4 p.m. and will be taking place at City Hall located on Monte Verde Street.

The current station which is located on Junipero Avenue and 4th Avenue has been standing since 1967.

No final decision will be made at this meeting. However, the city are considering these options including remodeling the current station, demolish or rebuild the station on the current site or potentially build a new station at Vista Lobos.
