City of Joplin address damage across the city; Storm Sirens did not sound
RECAP: Liberty Utilities spokesperson stated 7,000 people were without power in the city of Joplin at the peak last night. 1/2 of them have been restored as of this morning. About 50 poles are being replaced in the city of Joplin. Liberty hope to have those in place by sundown today. There is no exact timeline when all power will be restored.
Fashion for empowerment: Cabi's Love Local event
In a heartwarming act of community support, the Cabi Foundation held its annual "Love Local" event in Joplin, updating the wardrobes of 40 clients from the Lafayette House, a local shelter aiding victims of domestic abuse. More than 400 high-quality clothing items were provided free of charge, giving these women the opportunity to outfit themselves for various aspects of their new beginnings, including job interviews and court appearances.
