Softball Recap: Thompson comes up short despite Sydney Schwabe's strong performance
On Saturday, Thompson faced Bottineau in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Thompson Tommies fell 5-2 to the Bottineau Braves/Stars. Thompson was red-hot at the plate headed into the contest (they scored no less than ten runs in the four matchups prior) but Bottineau's pitcher proved too tough.
JHS Boys Golf 5th Again At Turtle Mountain Invitational
DUNSEITH – For the second straight day, Jamestown Blue Jay Boys Golf had a fifth place finish Saturday at the Turtle Mountain Invitational at the Garden Gate Golf Course. JHS shot 325, and Hunter Gegelman was best individually with a 78. Luke LeFevre shot 81, Jace Dillman had 82, Camron Andersen fired an 84, Vaughn Romsdal shot 88 and Jake Walz carded 89.

Crews battling large brush fire north of casino in Belcourt
BELCOURT, N.D. (KMOT) – Fire crews in Rolette County are battling a large brush fire north of the Sky Dancer Casino & Resort Thursday afternoon. A viewer shared a video with Your News Leader of a shot of the fire shortly after 4 p.m. The viewer indicated the fire was moving north, away from the casino.
Carson Haerer to continue basketball career at Williston State
MINOT, N.D. (KMOT) -- Bottineau boys basketball’s all-time leading scorer is heading west in the Peace Garden State to Williston State College for the next two years.
