Bobcats earn multiple all-conference honors
Texas State earned multiple Sun Belt Track and Field conference honors following the completion of the conference outdoor meet. Head Coach John Frazier won Women’s Coach of the Year after leading the Bobcats to their first conference championship since 2018. At the conference meet, the Bobcats had ten athletes finish on top of the podium standing with three winning individual titles in the discus, hammer and shot put throwing events. After storms moved the annual Purple and White Spring game from Thursday to Friday, San Marcos eagerly took the field at Toyota Rattler Stadium. Multiple Rattlers nominated to All-District Selections
Multiple San Marcos Rattler baseball and softball players were selected to the all-district teams after the completion of the season for District 27. The Rattler baseball team completed the regular season with a 25-8 overall record with the 25 wins being one of the most in program history. San Marcos finished second in district play and fell to San Antonio Brandeis in the Bi-District round of the playoffs. The SMHS Golf Team wrapped up a successful season and reflected on reaching the three goals it set for the year. The first goal was to grow the program, said second-year coach Everett Mungia. “Two years ago, when we inherited the team from the coach who was retiring, there were only eight students on the team.
