A longtime Central New York radio personality who helped launch TK99 in the 1990s has died at age 78. Gary W. Gallup, known on the air as “Bob Paris,” died May 4 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse. According to his obituary, Gallup was a Mattydale resident who had been battling leukemia.

SCSO: Verona man hid in someone’s closet, stole liquor
HALFMOON, N.Y. Man found with cocaine, fentanyl in pants, jacket pocket near Upstate University Hospital
Syracuse, N.Y. -- A 33-year-old man was caught with over 20 grams of cocaine and fentanyl in his pockets Sunday near Upstate University Hospital, police said. Officers stopped Nathan K. King who was walking in the 300 block of Renwick Avenue, near the Pioneer Homes, police said in a criminal complaint filed in Syracuse City Court.
