Editor’s note: The following is the list of the top personal bests by Stark County individuals and relay teams in each event this season as reported to The Canton Repository or posted on MileSplit Ohio’s website through Saturday. Individual athletes and relay teams from one school may have more than one of the top performances this season, but this lists only their best per event. Performances on electronically timed tracks are listed to one-hundredth of a second.

High school softball: Baby raccoon steals the show as Wadsworth rolls over Medina Christian
WADSWORTH — The Wadsworth softball team found itself a new mascot named Mr. Willy Wonka on Tuesday. The athletes formerly known as the Grizzlies had a ton of laughs and took plenty of photographs with the orphaned infant raccoon that freshman Delayna Demiter’s grandfather, Greg Gordon, rescued from the side of the road earlier that afternoon. Gordon brought the raccoon to his daughter April to help nurse it back to health until it is ready to be released back into the wild.
