Hastings Senior High becomes first show choir to feature special needs students
HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Hastings Senior High School is making history as the first school in Nebraska to include special needs students in their show choir. The idea came about after Director Vocal Music, Christian Yost, spoke to a friend in Sioux Fall, South Dakota. He knew there were kids at the school that want to sing, dance and have fun, and it intrigued him to start Hastings Unlimited.

The snow we have seen this winter as mostly been normal snow that carries a ration of 10 to 1. The heavy wet snow we sometimes see here in spring has a ratio of 5 to 1.
Kuehn Class C State Champ, First Since 2014
All the hard work and determination paid off for the Minden boys wrestling team at the Class C state tournament that took place on February 15-17 in Omaha. Orrin Kuehn (47-2) capped off his dominant season with the highest honor possible, state champion at the 150 lb weight class. Not only did the team bring home a state champion, but the Whippets placed in the top five as a whole with a score of 80, an impressive feat considering there were 53 schools in attendance for class C. The Whippets had other wrestlers earn state medals as well, further proof of how much depth this team brought to the mat all year long. Koltdyn Heath (132) earned a state medal with a third place finish at his respective weight class. Logan Choquette (113) and Braxton Janda (190) each earned medals with fourth place finishes. Cade Harsin (126) earned a spot on the podium with a sixth place finish at his weight class.
