Escondido’s Fire Department Update
On July 17, firefighters were dispatched to W. Valley Parkway and Auto Parkway for a possible gas leak. Construction workers had struck a gas line while digging. Workers quickly evacuated the immediate area, with no reports of illness. Fire crews arrived and began air monitoring in the area to ensure gas was not accumulating. SDG&E were notified to assist, and ultimately secured the gas line within 20 minutes.

Chino Trio Charged in Organized $7,000 Beauty Product Heist in Lake Elsinore
Three individuals were apprehended on Thursday in connection with a brazen theft of beauty products from a Lake Elsinore retail outlet earlier this month. According to the Riverside Sheriff's Office, over $7,000 worth of merchandise was stolen in a coordinated heist by a trio who later fled the scene in a black sedan. The suspects, identified as 48-year-old Ursula Ventura, 25-year-old Jerremy Lewis, and 37-year-old Robert Thompson, are said to be residents of Chino.
