United Way of Southwest Louisiana is allocating funds to organizations providing summer programs for low-income youth in Allen, Calcasieu, Cameron, Beauregard, and Jeff Davis parishes.

The grants aim to support summer programs and reduce costs for families. The focus areas include arts, advocacy, dance, leadership, literacy, and STEM.

The maximum grant amount per organization is up to $5,000.

Organizations must be registered and in good standing with the Louisiana Secretary of State to be eligible for the grant.

The proposed projects must be completed within the date range of June 1 to August 15, 2024, and tuition funds must be used to assist youth aged 5-18.

The deadline to submit the completed application is May 15 at 4 pm. A final report is due by Sept. 1.
