Camas Plant & Garden Fair: Celebrates 25 Years, Coming May 11
Camas, WA —The 25th annual Camas Plant & Garden Fair returns to Downtown Camas on Saturday, May 11th from 9am-4pm. Local nurseries, growers, and garden artists will line the streets, offering a diverse array of fruiting trees, vegetable starts, herbs, flowers, garden art and furniture, planters, birdhouses and feeders, pottery, metal art, hanging baskets, stone art, sculptures and more. This event, organized by the Downtown Camas Association (DCA), offers family friendly fun and shopping in the heart of the charming and historic Downtown Camas.
Wellspent Market Is Moving Into a Historic Grocery Building on Southeast Division
Wellspent Market, the curated grocery store founded by James Beard-nominated food writer Jim Dixon, plans to move to Southeast Portland this June. The market will take up residence in a century-old building on Southeast Division Street and Southeast 34th Avenue which originally opened as a general store called Jos. T Harris Grocery. Renovations are currently underway following the vacancy of longtime tenant Anders Printing Company, revealing the building’s original fir floors.
Metro Planning Development Of Willamette Cove Park
Metro has kicked off the planning process to create a nature park at Willamette Cove, a former industrial site on the Willamette River in North Portland. Community members can share their insights and opinions on the future park through an online survey. The survey, which is open until May 10, is posted on the Metro website at oregonmetro.gov/cove.
