Bettendorf food pantry forced to close after tree falls on building, president says
BETTENDORF, Iowa (KWQC) - The AGAPE Center Project, food pantry in Bettendorf said they’re experiencing a huge setback after a large Oak tree fell on the center’s roof. The tree fell on the center on Tuesday, according to Don Well, President of The AGAPE Center Project. The tree falling caused structural damage to the extent that they are no longer able to serve the community.

FCI Thomson placed on lockdown after firearm possibly brought into prison
THOMSON, Ill. — The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) placed FCI Thomson on lockdown status after learning that a firearm may have been brought into the prison. A FBOP spokesperson confirmed with News 8 that FCI Thomson was placed on lockdown on Thursday, Apr. 25, after the FBOP received "critical information that a firearm may have been introduced."
