INTERSTATE CLOSURE: I-20 in Calhoun, Ouachita Parish, to be closed from May 17th to May 19th

OUACHITA PARISH, La. (KTVE/KARD) — On Friday, May 17, 2024, starting at 8 p.m. to Sunday, May 19, 2024, ending at 8 p.m., I-20 Eastbound and Westbound, at mile marker 101 near Calhoun, will be closed.

The closure is to remove all frameworks over Spans 3 and 4 and complete the Type 3 Painting.

I-20 traffic will drive around the work zone via the on-and-off ramps at EXIT 101. During this closure, the ramps will be used for through traffic only, and there will be no I-20 access to or from LA 151 at Exit 101.

For I-20 Eastbound traffic, the recommended detour is to exit at the Choudrant LA 145 Exit 93 and follow LA 145 to US 80 that leads to LA 151 South; or take LA 145 to LA 151 North.

I-20 Westbound traffic may exit at the Calhoun US 80 Exit 103 to LA 151 South or at the Choudrant LA 145 Exit 93 to LA 151 North, with detour signs posted.
