    Warriors golf improves performances Individually and as a team

    The boys and girls golf teams had a busy week, with the boys having meets on Monday at the Pine Island Zumbrota-Mazeppa Invite, Tuesday at home against Wabasha-Kellogg, Thursday at Cotter in Winona and Friday at home against Waukon. The girls also had meets on Tuesday at home against Wabasha-Kellogg and Thursday at Cotter in Winona.

    Boys scores

    At the PIZM Invite, Caledonia finished in fifth place with 365 strokes.

    Individually, JT Hammell (second) shot 77 over 18 holes, Evan Milde 95, Carson Klug 96, Noah Berger 97, Isaac Blocker 100 and Alex Henke 105.

    Against Wabasha-Kellogg at home, Caledonia won the meet with a score of 188, beating out the visitors at 204. Individually, JT Hammell finished first with a 41 over nine holes, and Carson Klug finished second with a 43. Isaac Blocker, Evan Milde and Noah Berger tied for sixth with a 52, while Dylan Schroeder finished with a 54.

    At the Cotter Invite, Caledonia was just short as a team, finishing with 208 strokes, compares to Cotter's 200. Individually, Carson Klug grabbed another first with a 48 over nine holes. JT Hammell was third with a 50, Isaac Blocker seventh with a 52, Evan Milde eighth with a 58, Dylan Schroeder ninth with a 59, and Noah Berger 12th with a 60.

    Against Waukon at home, Caledonia was again just short, with a team score of 189, compared to Waukon's 182.

    Girls scores

    Against Wabasha-Kellog at home, the Caledonia Area girls cruised to victory, taking most of the top positions. Jazzlyn Hauser was first with a 50, while Hayden Harms was second with a 51, and Maggie Herman third with a 54. Ellison Harm, meanwhile, was fifth with a 56, Megan Glasspole shot a 65, and Samantha Johnson finished at 72.

    At the Cotter Invite, Caledonia again dominated, winning 221-252. Individually, Jazzlyn Hauser was first again, this time with a 53, while Hayden Harms grabbed the silver with a 55, and Emersyn Klug bronze with a 56. Maggie Herman came in fourth with a 57, and Alexis Sauer rounded out the team score with a 61.

    Caledonia Area golf has meets against Fillmore Central at Ma Cal Grove Golf Course in Caledonia on Monday, April 29, and at home again against Rushford-Peterson on Tuesday, April 30.
