Fatal I-75 Crash in Macon Highlights Dangers of Sharing the Road With Large Trucks

A 50-year-old woman died after her pickup truck struck the rear of a tractor-trailer on Interstate 75 South in Macon, Georgia, on October 1, 2026. According to WGXA, the Bibb County Sheriff's Office reported that the woman was driving a 2019 Ford F-150 southbound near the Hartley Bridge Road exit when she attempted to brake for traffic ahead. She couldn't stop before colliding with the trailer of a 2023 Freightliner Cascadia.
