East Texas fishermen dealt another legal blow in fight over access to a beloved water body
A group of East Texas outdoor enthusiasts lost another legal decision earlier this week as they try to regain access to a beloved body of water. The Cutoff, as it’s known, is a long, narrow oxbow lake located along the border of Henderson and Navarro Counties, about 75 mile southeast of Dallas. It was once an arm of the Trinity River before dam projects in the 1920s cut it off from the river’s main stream.
