Two vehicle accident reported in Butler County from the weekend
Saturday about 10am the Iowa State Patrol was called out on the report of a two vehicle accident northwest of Shell Rock along Highway 3 near Vintage Lane. 56-year-old Sonia High of Shell Rock was traveling westbound on Highway 3 driving a 2012 GMC Acadia when for some reason she crossed the centerline and struck an eastbound semi-truck and trailer combination driven by 62-year-old Michael Toussaint of Sumner head on.

Robert William Fenneman, age 87, was born January 15, 1937, the son of Clarence and Edna Fenneman. He was baptized and confirmed at First United Church of Christ, Pleasant Valley, rural Clarksville. He attended country school through the eighth grade and graduated from Clarksville High School in 1955. He attended Iowa State University studying agriculture for one year. Bob then moved to Waterloo where he worked in the mail room at Rath Packing company and in sales at Tractor Supply.

Richard (Dick) B Crosby formerly of Clarksville & Charles City, IA, was born the son of Burr & Ruth (Wells) Crosby on August 30, 1929, at their home in Clarksville, IA. Dick died on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, peacefully at his home in Charles City, IA at the age of 84.
Waverly woman arrested in Allison Sunday night
Sunday night the Butler County Sheriff’s Department in Allison arrested 36-year-old Abby Alger of Waverly for assault on a law officer, for simple assault, for interference with official acts, and for public intoxication. Alger posted bond and was released.

Courtney C. Kielman of Waterloo, IA, pled guilty to Count One: operating without owner’s consent, aggravated misdemeanor and was committed to the custody of the director of the Iowa Department of Corrections for an indeterminate term not to exceed two years, sentence was suspended. Fine in the amount of $855. Count Two: burglary in the third degree, Class D felony and was committed to the custody of the director of the Iowa Department of Corrections for an indeterminate term not to exceed two years, sentence was suspended. Fine in the amount of $1,025. Count Three: possession of a controlled substance, marijuana third offense, and was committed to the custody of the director of the Iowa Department of Corrections for an indeterminate term not to exceed two years, sentence was suspended. Fine in the amount of $1,025. It was ordered that Ms. Kielman obtain a substance abuse evaluation and follow all recommendations. Ms. Kielman was placed on probation for a period of five years to the Department of Correctional Services and shall reside at a residential correctional facility for 180 days or until maximum benefits are achieved. Sentencing was June 24, 2024.
