Groveland, Florida, – Vanessa Waite, a middle school student from Groveland and she has become the fastest middle school girl in the United States. She is gearing up to represent Powerhouse Athletics at the 2024 AAU Track and Field Junior Olympics in Greensboro, North Carolina. The event, scheduled from July 29th to August 3rd, will see Vanessa competing in the 100-Meter, 200-Meter, and 4 x 100 Meter Relay.

Leesburg Commission Approves Speed Cameras in School Zones, Going Live in August
On Monday, July 22, the Leesburg City Commission unanimously approved the implementation of speed cameras in school zones, a measure aimed at enhancing safety for students and pedestrians.
