Range Shrine Circus returns after six year absence
HIBBING—The one and only Range Shrine Circus is making a comeback, carrying on a tradition that started in the 1950s. Hosted by the Range Shrine Club, the Range Shrine Circus historically a biannual event was last held in 2018 at the Hibbing Memorial Building. The circus was canceled in 2020 due to COVID, and 2022 due to the lead time needed to reserve the circus, according to Mary McCauley Brandt, one of the organizers for this year’s circus. ...

Authors slate a day of book talk
Award winning authors Jess Lourey, Sarah Stonich, and Kristi Belcamino will appear at the Virginia and Calumet public libraries in May to discuss their books. They’ll talk about where they get their ideas, their diverse writing styles, their journeys to publication and upcoming projects, as well as a Q & A session. The event is free and open to the public.
