South Plains rain storm impacts several Lubbock-area baseball playoff series
A number of playoff games being played in the Lubbock area have been impacted by storms that swept through the South Plains on Thursday. Red Feather Golf and Social Club was once a large cotton field. Now, it is a championship golf course with about 65 feet of elevation change. They also have the largest in destination playa lake in Lubbock county. In regards to the golfing, Red Feather has some detailed-focused greens that roll pretty fast for the average golfer and some extra long par fives.

Houston transfer Mikal Harrison-Pilot commits to Texas Tech football as defensive back
The Texas Tech football team got a new commitment out of the transfer portal Thursday. Mikal Harrison-Pilot committed to the Red Raiders via social media. Harrison-Pilot spent his freshman year at Houston where he played receiver and special teams for the Cougars. He is expected to make the switch to defensive back with the Red Raiders.

Texas Tech DT transfers to South Alabama
South Alabama’s rotation up front on defense will be stouter next season thanks to the addition of Tre’Darius Brown, a defensive tackle from Texas Tech. Brown (6-2, 300) was rated an 86, three-star player in 2023 out of high school in Natchitoches, LA. He redshirted last year for Texas Tech and will therefore have four years of eligibility remaining.
