    Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - The sale of the former Medaille University campus closed on May 2nd, and according to Buffalo Business First it came at a cost of $9.9 million. Buffalo Academy of Science will move classes on to the campus this September. The school, also known as BuffSci, has entered a lease-to-own agreement with Charter School Development Corporation, which purchased the campus.

    Habitat for Humanity Buffalo's annual Women Build event begins Tuesday morning at 9. Teams of all-women volunteers will work on various construction projects in Buffalo through this Saturday at 3:30p.m.

    A new Tropical Smoothie location is open in North Buffalo at 2236 Delaware Avenue. It's the 5th Tropical Smoothie Franchise in Western New York, with a sixth opening soon.

    The price of gas is up 5 cents per gallon in Buffalo since last Monday at $3.65, according to AAA. That matches the national average.
