SCRANTON, Pa. — Some final events taking place on Day 1 of the District 2 track and field championship from Scranton Memorial stadium. The boys AAA 3200 meter race, Scranton's Aidan Graff leading the pack out of the gate. He finished the race in first at 9 minutes 31 seconds to punch his ticket to states.
District 2 Boys Track: Hazleton Area comes up just shy of District 2 team title
SCRANTON — It was a battle fought to the very last race of the day, but Hazleton Area came up just a few points short of catching Scranton and winning a team championship. Scranton managed to hold off the Cougars to win the District 2 Class 3A boys track championship, outscoring Hazleton by just 2.5 points to win the team title.
