    Man found dead floating in water under Brooklyn Bridge: NYPD

    BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – A man was found dead floating in the water under the Brooklyn Bridge on Saturday afternoon, according to officials.

    Police responded to a call for a person in the water at around 3:42 p.m. Police boats were at the scene scouring the water, a video posted to Citizen shows.

    The NYPD Harbor Unit was able to recover the body. Emergency services also responded to the scene. A man was found unconscious and unresponsive and pronounced deceased, officials said.

    The Office of Chief Medical Examiner of the City of New York will determine the cause of death.

    The man’s identity has yet to be identified and will be released; family notification is pending, authorities said.
