ADRIAN, Mich. – A grieving family wants to get their loved one’s remains, but they claim the funeral home won’t return his ashes. “All they want is their father’s ashes, but they can’t get them,” -- that was the tip that came into our investigative unit and brought us to J. There were three incidents in Jackson, Michigan this week. One person was shot on Deyo Street, but the injuries were non-life-threatening. Another shooting occurred on E. Michigan Avenue, resulting in the death of a 46-year-old male. A missing 17-year-old girl from Jackson was also reported, but she was later found safe and returned home.

2 students injured when car rear-ends school bus in Jackson County
JACKSON COUNTY, MI – Two students were injured Tuesday when a car rear-ended a school bus while it was stopped to pick up students on the way to school. Tuesday morning, Nov. 28, a school bus for Western School District was stopped on Kibby Road in Summit Township while picking up students when a passenger vehicle rear-ended the bus, Western School District Superintendent Michael Smajda said.
